Hello and Welcome!

Welcome to Stamping Trails. I’m so glad you are here.

I have mainly been a hobby demonstrator until just recently and I’m ready to step up my game. So, with the launch of the new catalog I’m also launching my website! I’m excited to start this new adventure.

2022-2023 Annual Catalog

My husband and daughters have been extremely supportive of my business and vision. In fact, my husband is the better cook in our household (I have no problem admitting that fact) and has helped immensely by cooking most meals. This has freed up a considerable amount of time for me to get this website off the ground. He makes such delicous dishes which I’m excited to share with you so look for his recipes in my newsletter every now and then.

It is safe to say I’m not new to crafting. In fact I’ve been decorative painting for over 20 years and it is my first love. Although I just recently discovered papercrafting and stamping it has also become a passion of mine!

What is new to me is creating this website. My long-term goal is for Stamping Trails to be a place where you can be inspired, find useful paper crafting and stamping information, learn new techniques, purchase current products, retired products and custom-made cards if you choose. But above all, I want this to be a fun, creative enviroment which you will return to again and again!

My Vision

I have so many thoughts and ideas in my head that it’s hard to keep them all straight. I would love for all the objectives I have to come to fruition right now. Unfortunately, there’s not enough hours in the day and I have quite a learning curve ahead of me. Because of this, I’m reminded of a saying my dear decorative painting teacher would say when we were about to start a daunting painting project: “How do you eat an elephant? One bite at a time!” So, that’s what I’m going to do. I’m going to start out on my journey and tackle this “one step at a time.”

My vision includes the following:

  • A blog post at least every other week, to begin with, which will highlight a current card I’ve created
  • An email newsletter at least once a month with news about all things Stampin’ Up!, any upcoming promotions, and deals (and a recipe or two)
  • An online store (other than my Stampin’ Up! store) where you can purchase tutorials, retired products, and custom-made cards and papercrafts
  • Information on Paper Pumpkin and the Kits Collection
  • Reference pages for techniques, general card making information, stamping, etc.
  • A rewards program – I’m working on the details now
  • Video tutorials

You can find me on Facebook, Instagram, and Pinterest, so be sure to follow me on those social media platforms. I will be adding a YouTube Channel – an intimidating concept for me as I’ve never done this before – but I’m taking that leap so look for me there soon.

Now, let’s take the first step together and get you stamping with a quick and easy card you can make today.

All Squared Away – All Colored Cardstock

I made this card for a challenge presented this week by a card making group I belong. We were to use any color cardstock except Basic White or Very Vanilla. I absolutely love how the black background makes the colors pop. The colored cardstock I used is from the Brights Collection and include Melon Mambo, Granny Apple Green, Bermuda Bay and Gorgeous Grape.

I have included a list of supplies and instructions below. I hope you enjoy making this card as much as I enjoyed creating it. It will definitely bring a smile to the lucky person who receives it.
